Hello y'all, guys!

Today I want to talk about important details when drawing in the Ed, Edd n Eddy style.

First of all, I want to let it clear that I have been drawing them for over 13 years, and I have been studying the style for so long as well.

When drawing the EEnE style you got to put all their cartoony and exaggerated essence which make them unique.

Face
Sometimes, the characters have their eyes disproportionated, for example, when they're frightened or very happy.
Another detail about their eyes, is that when they are worried, scared or happy is that there's a ring-shaped pupil, to give them more expression to the face.

In the case of Ed's eyes, he can sometimes have one of his eyes like it is "floating" out of his face.

When drawing mouths, when they are talking or they simply have their mouth open, they always shows teeth, depending of how big their mouth is, the teeth they show may vary in their size. Remember, the more exaggerated, the better!

Some characters can have a beak, like Eddy for example, or even Ed, depending of the expression he do.

Ears may vary. Edd and Eddy has a X on their ears, and Ed, Sarah, the kankers Sisters and others characters have a 3 shape inside. Kevin has a different shape, something similar to a G on his ear.

Noses may vary as well. Most of the characters have a tiny nose (Ed, Eddy, Sarah, Jimmy...) and some others have a bigger half round shaped one, just as Edd. Jonny's nose has one of the weirder designs, like a G backwards. Rolf and Kevin's noses are similar to Edd's, with minor differences.

Body
The character's bodies are one of the funniest things for me to draw, since it is really easy to do. Their bodies are longer than their legs, which is makes them look funny. Remember, long bodies, short legs.

Their limbs are thin, no matter if the character is chubby like in the case of Eddy. Except for Eddy's Brother, that is.

Most of characters' necks are thin, but some others have a thick neck, like Eddy's Brother. Ed's neck is long and half thick, this is what makes him taller than his friends Edd and Eddy.
Eddy has no neck.

EEnE style hands are kind of hard to draw, because of its weird shapes they tend to do. Their fingertips are kinda shaped like frog's. Their hands always shows nails.

I think these are some of the most important details about the style of Ed, Edd n Eddy.

I hope this helps and thanks for reading.

I think every EEnE artist has their own unique way of drawing the show style, but you did hit all the major points that are absolutely essential. :)

I actually have two ways of drawing EEnE. Sometimes I want to be super cartoony, but other times I just want to say ''F*** it all, I want to do my own thing'' and throw all the EEnE rules out the window. Sometimes I want to be more realistic and include lots of super detail or elements of my culture (y'know, like Hindu art) but then there are days I want to be very exaggerated with the cartoony expressions. I used to be jealous of your style and :iconmissinspirational: and all the other EEnE artists out there who get the show style down EXACTLY. But now people tell me my style is ''unique'' and they know my work, so that's rather an honour, I never thought I had a ''unique'' style. So now I don't really care about being super accurate, and I've studied the style long enough to just go off and do my own thing. A lot of well-known EEnE artists have. :)

Well, I wanted to clarify that is great that artists also put their style to make them look unique. That's also an important thing as well! :aww:

I also would like to have my own style when drawing them, to be honest... hee hee
